The Campus & Hangars
How big are the hangars at SkyLofts at Goodyear?
- 12,500 SF (100′×125′), 38 hangars, 33-acre campus at Phoenix Goodyear Airport, delivered in two phases.
What's included in each hangar tier?
- Base Hangar (clear-span storage, power/lighting, basic climate control, restroom, secure drive-in access); Business Buildout (adds private offices, conference room, networking, kitchenette, crew workspace, shower); Signature/Executive (adds mezzanine lounge, in-hangar auto parking, full kitchen, custom finishes, private entrance).
Can I customize my hangar?
- Yes. An à la carte upgrade menu (private office, owner lounge, crew area, conference room, kitchenette, mezzanine storage, custom branding) is available on any tier.
What size aircraft can SkyLofts hangars accommodate?
- The campus is designed around a 170′ shared taxilane system engineered to support ADG III business jets, including large-cabin aircraft like the Gulfstream G650, Gulfstream G700, Global 6000, and Falcon 7X. Final airside design is subject to Phoenix Aviation Department and FAA review as the project advances.
How is the campus laid out?
- Hangars are organized in clusters around a shared taxilane system, with centralized parking integrated within the campus rather than scattered lot-by-lot. A front-entry building at the primary entrance houses campus offices and a tenant lounge. The project is being delivered in two phases so the campus matures deliberately rather than opening all at once.
How do I get from parking to my hangar?
- Most hangars will have parking directly adjacent. For hangars in clusters served by centralized parking, optional golf cart or electric vehicle transport is planned to cover the distance between the parking area and your hangar.
Who is SkyLofts designed for?
- Private aircraft owners, corporate flight departments, charter/Part 135 operators, and aviation businesses.
What makes SkyLofts different from just storing a plane somewhere?
- An on-site SkyLofts team handles the details that turn a hangar into a home base, not an app, not a call center, but people who know your name, from the moment you arrive to the moment you take off.
Location & Access
Where is SkyLofts at Goodyear located?
- Phoenix Goodyear Airport (GYR), 1658 S Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, AZ 85338, on the I-10 corridor in the West Valley.
How far is Goodyear Airport from Phoenix?
- About 25 minutes from downtown Phoenix and Phoenix Sky Harbor, about 40 minutes from Scottsdale.
Why choose Goodyear over other Phoenix-area airports?
- Goodyear carries a fraction of the traffic of the established Phoenix-area general-aviation airports, with no scheduled airline traffic and less holding; those established fields are fully built out with documented hangar waitlists.
Security & Insurance
What security does the campus have?
- The campus is currently in the planning stage. Current plans call for open access to the office and parking areas, with gated access to the roads leading to hangar parking and the taxilanes themselves, along with camera coverage across the campus. Final specifications may evolve based on demand and feedback from the interest list.
Is hangar insurance required?
- Yes. As with nearly every private and airport hangar lease nationwide, tenants will be required to carry aircraft liability insurance and name SkyLofts as an additional insured on the policy. Exact minimums and documentation requirements will be finalized as part of the lease agreement.
Leasing & Terms
Do you lease or sell hangars?
- Hangars are leased, not sold: a long-term private home base for your aircraft, team, and guests.
How much does it cost to lease a hangar, and when will hangars be available?
- Pricing and availability haven't been published yet; the project is currently forming its interest list ahead of a two-phase buildout. Joining the interest list gets you availability and pricing as they're released.
What happens after I join the interest list, and is a deposit required?
- You'll meet with the design team to walk through your requirements and tier options. A deposit is expected to be required to hold a hangar reservation once leasing terms are finalized. Everyone on the interest list receives quarterly email updates on development progress. A specific availability timeline hasn't been set yet.
Is there an advantage to joining the interest list early?
- Early members of the interest list may receive priority consideration as leasing terms are finalized. Specific early-tenant terms are still being defined and will be communicated to the list as they're confirmed.
